This is not a true wireless charger in the sense that it charges from the back of the phone like most Q chargers do. With this phone mount you get small inserts that can be inserted into your phone's Lightning or USB port. This essentially blocks that port and charges by touching the bottom of the stand. The problem I have is that due to this design I can't connect the bottom of my phone to my android car and also can't connect the extra cable. This is because the base of this stand covers most of the bottom of the phone. It's kind of a deal breaker for me. I also don't like plugging the charging connector into my USB port because I have to pull it out every time I want to use it. However, the biggest draw for me is not being able to connect my USB cable and an extra audio port through my Android Auto. The bottom of this stand covers almost the entire bottom of my phone. The stand is pretty solid, opens with a push on the back and closes automatically to protect your phone. The included clip is very good and holds my phone to the air vent.
