While I love the look of these shakers, I cut myself twice cleaning them! First, the bottom edge of the stainless part is thin and very sharp. No problem during use, but easy to cut yourself when disassembling for cleaning. Second, there was a metal ridge on the stainless steel lid of one of the shakers, which I didn't discover until I cut my finger screwing it onto the glass part. I sanded the burr smooth so it's no longer a problem. Overall I like these shakers but be warned about the sharpness of the stainless steel and perhaps better control over the quality of the burrs.
