Size 0 to 6 months fits our very tall and tall baby girl who is under 5 months old. She has enough room in her armpits and buttocks to kick. She is around 18-18.5 pounds. they wash and wear well. I also have a halo and it's pretty much the same. I buy them on sale because they're cheaper than halos. When the child puts the sleeping bag on, it closes from the bottom up. This makes changing diapers easier. I have both muslin and cotton for the summer and fleece for when it's cold outside. It's a lot easier than finding socks, pants, and a top. I prefer them to briefs because they make changing diapers easier. My little girl sometimes gets warm in her sleep and doesn't get hot in it during the winter months. I think she doesn't feel hot in it because the sleeping bag has room for air circulation. With flip flops, the fabric is snug against the skin and, if that makes sense, makes you hot. It would be too warm for us in the summer months in the south. I'm sure they will work year round in other climates. You can also put long sleeves, trousers, socks, etc. under the sleeping bag if necessary. As I said, I watch the sale and buy a few! I'm actually ordering more now because the pink is on sale for $13!
