I chose the GoSports "5'x4' PRO" mat and I'm glad I did I chose this option (the size and thickness of the foam rubber is 15 mm), especially after using the mat. It is very comfortable to stand on while exercising, perfect size and quality seems durable enough for long-term use, time will tell. A group of us took a four day trip to the RV and golf resort where RV sites open onto the fairways. We placed the pad on a RV cement sheet and about 10 of us practiced driving and hitting in the evenings over the next few days, mostly using GoSports Foam (limited flight) practice golf balls. Despite being slightly abused by a few newbies, the mat showed no signs of damage, ooh! As you can see, the overall rating in the review is 5 stars with over 600 reviews. I read a few tear/tear reviews over the course of a month, which is hard to imagine after some of the breaks I've seen over the past week (probably 800 plus fluctuations). We used irons most of the time and I would say you have to be really aggressive to chop the ball at very high speed to break this mat early. I think your shoulders will give out first, mine would. I've also read complaints about the mat being moved. Again we were on the cement, the only time I saw the mat move significantly (spin radially) was when my buddy who had a VERY high head speed was driving, he was definitely moving! I didn't notice the mat moving for the rest of us to the point where we were forced to reposition it. The rug folds in half if needed, but was straightened out immediately when I received it, probably because we were in hot temperatures, and in colder climates it can be stored flat. You don't want to expose an outdoor rug to the elements and spoil it prematurely. I've read that some people roll the mat up with a strap and leave it inside when not in use. I will update my review in a year.
