I used this hat a couple times late summer last year while camping. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it kept me in the shade, thanks to the wide brim. I like this hat because it protects the back of my neck saving me from sunburns. The mesh fabric of the gaiter is easy to breath out of, yet offers excellent protection from mosquitos.I also like that I can use either the front gaiter, or neck flap, both at once, or wear only the hat itself without the coverings. The hat breathes very well, and kept me cool during my trips. Totally would recommend this to family and friends. 5/5
