I have never used a pen but I needed it for my math homework. I had to do my math homework on an iPad. This stylus works very well with the iPad. It works as simple as a pen and as easy as using a pen/pencil with an iPad. I love that it comes with two in case I lose one. The magnetic tip cap is very neat. The fact that there is a plastic plate on the tip and not just a tip was interesting and surprised me a bit, although after getting used to it it works great. I think it was a great purchase for two needles of this caliber.
