Slightly more expensive but this tray has turned out to be very good. It is closed, but at the same time easy to clean. The structure itself seemed a little cheaper when we first installed it, but cats jumped on it all the time and had no issues with structural integrity. It's important to note that we have two 9 pound cats and they had to take out the wall insert so they had enough room to use the tub so it's a little smaller. Without insert, although it is quite large. There was no garbage mat in our box but the customer service was excellent and got it to us as quickly as possible. Overall great experience!
