Review on 🧒 Carhartt Men's Knit Beanie Hat by Jake Meyer

Plain hat best in accessories

Good hat for the price and for most conditions. I bought dark blue. My hat size is about 7.25 and it fits well. Suitable for temperatures up to 30 (Fahrenheit). Around the 1920s, fairly strong winds begin to blow with a cold wind. I've decided to go with a thicker Carhartt hat for last winter of 2013-14 here in northern New Jersey and for the upcoming winter. However, if you're not experiencing temperatures below 30s, this should work fine. It's well made, well priced, and does the job in most conditions. Update February 13, 2015: I just ran outside in this hat for about an hour in 12 degrees Fahrenheit (0 degrees wind). I have a much larger Kinkaid hat that I usually use in these conditions but wanted to see how this hat held up. It was good. I would have felt more comfortable in my Kinkaid hat, but it kept my head warm enough even when it was windy. For convenience I can use this hat more often (the Carhartt label is no longer on my cap by the way, but this is for aesthetics and brand recognition only). Not bad even in fairly severe frost, especially considering the price. Update 16 February 2015: Just got back from another walk (it was about -9 degrees Fahrenheit outside with a cold wind). The wind was stronger today than a few days ago; and it really struck me that this hat is not made for this weather. Passable but I really wish I had a heavier hat. So I guess I'll stick with the Kinkaid hat from now on. However, as I said in my original post, this hat should be fine as long as the temp doesn't drop below the 30's. Underneath you might want to consider something heavier or maybe a hood.
