Handy for ceiling fans without a wall switch

My father installed them in both of our bedrooms because the rooms never had the original overhead lighting. He initially installed two lighted ceiling fans. Instead of running the wire through the walls and making a mess, he ran the wires to the fire alarm through the attic. He has been an electrician for thirty years and knows what he is doing. In any case, the fans and lights on the fans will not work unless you go to the fan and pull the strings. If you buy these, simply attach the main body to the inside of the fan and then find a spot on the wall to screw on the small basket that holds the remote control. The remote has a button to turn on the fan in all three modes (slow, medium, fast) as well as an off button and a light button. You just click what you want and the remote will do all the work. It's better than flipping a switch! If you know what you're doing I highly recommend them.
