Review on ☕ Laicky 800 Count Unbleached Replacement Paper Filter Packs for Aerobie Aeropress Coffee Makers - Round Coffee Filters for Enhanced Brewing Experience by Brad Wall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Except for the price, there are no differences to Aeropress filters.

Aeropress filters, both original and non-original, vary greatly in price. I find it difficult to pay more than a cent a piece for these tiny filters, but I haven't found one for less than 2 cents a piece in a long time. This pack of 8 x 100 filters is the cheapest I've found online. But are they good? Well, it's sized to fit my Aeropress, so I did the only head-to-head comparison test I could think of, trying to see if one filter would let hot liquid through faster than the other. I measured out 65 grams of pre-moistened coffee grounds and then added 8 ounces. hot water, stir and wait. Those Laicky filters passed 3 ounces of water through the base and filter, but after six minutes there was a whopping 5 ounces of hot water in the Aeropress. By repeating the same test with the original Aeropress paper filter, we got exactly the same results. My conclusion is that these aftermarket filters have almost the same characteristics as OEM filters. Also, I've been using them for a week and have never noticed any noticeable difference in the taste of my coffee. So if you're looking to save money on filters, they seem like just the ticket.
