I love my Kindle, have had two and the only problem I have ever had was the power cords. In both cases, the insulation on the cables that came with the Kindles was defective. On my first, the insulation literally fell off after a year of use (Revain sent a replacement). My current fire's cord lasted longer, but the insulation broke exposing the wires. I ordered them thinking I had a spare this time, ready for the inevitable cable break. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the plating on these cables differs from the plating on the original cables. He grew thicker and more flexible. Connecting the cable to the Kindle's connector seems better and more solid than the originals. The connection to the Kindle itself works flawlessly and charging was quick. Who knows, maybe I don't even need that spare part.
