Works well. I used the mesh sanding disc that came in the kit, as well as the sandpaper discs. No flipping. The only problem I had was that the metal tipped sharpening rod I was using kept coming off the grinder's threaded metal mount. I either use a pole with a plastic tip or I use plumbing tape.
