Review on πŸƒ Enhanced Compatibility Running Armband for Samsung Galaxy Note 5 & Note 4 with Extender Armband Strap by Red Star Tec by Jerry Mangum

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Many of them are almost the same

Let me preface the review by pointing out that for the Note 5 almost all of the options available are remarkably similar, I won't claim they're the same but I suspect they're all made in the same place and only be rebranded with subtle color and design variations. I ordered another armband (Galaxy Note 5 armband, Samaung Galaxy Note 5 armband by Hilda, with anti-scratch sports material, thin lightweight, two hand slots, sweat-resistant and key pocket, with headphone jacks [black]) from a completely different "manufacturer" and identical except for the color of the logo and the included extension. This doesn't mean they're inferior armbands, but they're perceived to be eaten with a grain of salt when making your "choice," because in fact many of them are pretty much the same. I bought it because the smaller size was too small without the included extender. I have big hands and this lengthens the strap nicely and makes it comfortable to wear. It's not the most durable piece of exercise equipment I've seen, but if you take care of it properly I'm pretty sure it will last at least a season. The strap and phone pocket are made of soft and flexible foam, protected by a plastic window at the front and attached with a composite leatherette lining. by hand and air dry. The Note 5 fits nicely in a sleeve pocket; I've managed to fit mine with a very minimal clear TPU case, but for something thicker you'll probably need to remove the case. The touchscreen works great through the plastic window and I'm comfortable saying that it protects the phone well when it rains when you're running and from sweat, but obviously not from full immersion or prolonged exposure to heavy rain. It stays in my hand pretty well with a phone in it, which is an important thing, but more importantly, there's no chance of your phone falling out. I also have a feeling the phone inside it would be fine if it were to fly off your hand for some wild reason, even if it landed on concrete. The protection is sufficient. It has a neat little house key slot instead of the hidden credit/ID slot that some others have, but it fits in your pocket securely enough that you can still slip a credit card behind the phone with ease. If you need a large band I would definitely recommend it for your Note 5. It works as it should and is a great accessory for comfort and protection during your workout. It's not badly made, but it's not expensive either - unless you expect it to last for years without replacement, I don't think you'll regret your decision. The other group in the picture is the first one I bought to show the similarities between the different models for sale.

Pros
  • Perfectly fits Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Note 4, Note 3 and Note 2 smartphones and is large enough for most phones with screens up to 5.7 inches, including iPhone 6 plus.
Cons
  • Doubtful
