I chose this crib mainly for the extra rails. The conversion of 2 children's chairs/sofas was a nice bonus. The tabletop conversation set is designed for the tabletop and table legs. You must buy/make your own pillows. I didn't buy it because it seems too short for a seated and colored table. It had no instructions but I found their manual on their website. Most pieces were marked except for 10 crossbars (3 sizes). Although you can understand it, the instructions are a bit confusing. You don't necessarily need Philips. I just used the Allen key that came with it. The hardware I received was gold in color and really visible, but that doesn't bother me. As some of the reviewers said, the center section was poorly designed, but you can still tighten it with an Allen wrench with a little patience. just a few hours to assemble the whole bed by yourself. Overall I would give it 4.5 stars and I'm glad I bought it!
