Very low light is best for wall lights

We were moving into a new house and my friend immediately installed night lights bright enough to use for lighthouses, airplane runways and surgical operating rooms. In self-defense and in search of sleep, I needed to find something far more sinister. It's been a long search. I was surprised to find so many descriptions of night lights that brag about being bright enough to read books, even in amber and red. I was surprised to find customer comments describing how their night lights did it for them allowed them to jump into beads and read the fine print of insurance contracts before falling asleep at night. Everyone in the world but you and me seemed to have gone insane. Then I discovered that these Vintar lights are adjustable from 1 to 15 lumens. O lovely delight! And they keep (or don't they?) that promise. There are some improvements I would like to see in next year's model, just thinking about my own desires. I would like the size and shape of the device to be minimized to the diameter and shape of a quarter by simply covering 3 holes in the socket. In coin mode, the adjustment control could be converted from a slider to a dial that moves along the edge. The dial would have made adjustment handier than the current model's very sensitive slider. Bottom line: If you want light for reading, try a lamp. If you need a dim night light, try this one.
