I ordered a large based on my waste size. The elastic was tight around the waist and fitted snugly, especially in the male area. LAUGH OUT LOUD. I returned them for XL. They sit well in the waist, but still appear too revealing in the masculinity area. I'll wear them as sleep shorts so I can live with that.
