It's not bad, but there are some problems. I take live broadcasting seriously and this gives me the option of using one or two lavalier mics while broadcasting, or plugging a mic into a second lavalier input. The only thing that let me down was the headphone monitoring input, as I felt like I could use it to control the audio when broadcasting live or recording video, but that's not the case. I'm not sure if this is a product or a smartphone. If anyone knows how to do this please tell me. I give the product the benefit of the doubt that this is just a limitation of the smartphone and the earbud monitoring input is only for playing audio when the mic adapter is plugged in. However, the label "headphone monitoring input" leads to the assumption that you can use it to "control" the audio, but that's not the case. The list should be clearer in this regard. In terms of quality, the quality of the microphone seems to be pretty good, especially for the price. One review said the mics seemed a bit "hot" in large crowds, which may be the case, but it's not a big deal for me right now. Overall, I recommend trying them out, but they should resolve the headphone issue in your description. Thanks very much!
