We got our first set for our 9 year old granddaughter. But our 4 and 5 year old grandchildren really enjoyed it---UNDER SUPERVISION. So we bought a second set and already a few sets of additional beads. Kids have moved away from templates and are now creating their own templates. This is a very creative craft - relatively clean: no glue, you really just use water to fuse them together. The beads are small but great for 4 and 5 year olds to control large and small muscles for development and matching colors and creating patterns is very educational.
