It's a bit difficult to hold the lid open while shaking out the salt, but it's worth it in a tropical area like ours. We

We have been looking for moisture resistant salt shakers for a long time and were glad to have found them on the net. As others have said, it's a little tricky to hold the lid open while shaking out the salt, but it's worth it in a tropical area like ours. We haven't had them long enough to know if the salt stays dry for long periods of time, but we haven't had to add rice to soak up the condensation yet.
