Review on GE 29875GE1 Phone Answering Machine by Kelly Thompson

This answering machine is the successor (updated model) to its predecessor which lasted at least 30 years but finally stopped registering incoming messages - they just became buzzing. This new machine works well but it was a little tricky to set up. Once the feature (date, time or number of rings before activating the "Outgoing" message) was set, the device would not allow modification and reset. Having now used the machine for a month I will attempt to reset some of the functions again to the correct or desired settings. The feature I appreciate the most is the ability to easily modify and overwrite an "outgoing" message. The least useful feature in my opinion is a window showing the number of messages waiting, which is not visible from a distance. The old car had a big red light that flashed when it was waiting for a message and it was much more efficient. But the recorded messages, both "outgoing" and "incoming", are quite clear, so in general the device serves its purpose and is easy to use (except maybe for the initial function settings).
