Review on 🚗 Lanzar 2-Channel Car Audio Amplifier, 1000Watt, 4 Ohm, MOSFET, RCA Input, Bass Boost, Mobile Audio, Car Speaker Amplifier, Car Electronics, Crossover Network (HTG237), BLACK by Jeffrey Nunes

I bought this Lanzar 1000w 2 channel amp to replace the Sony 300w 2 channel amp. I upgraded my 300w Pioneer ITW 8" subwoofer to Infinity 1000w (250w RMS) and got a Lanzar to power it. Both the amplifier and the subwoofer had the same performance characteristics when the amplifier was connected. I ran a 12 GA wire to the remote wire, 10 GA Industrial to ground and 8 GA to the fuse and then to the 12v battery connector. RCA was the entrance. I had previously hooked up a Sony 300w amp to a 1000w sub and it worked without overheating decoration and was able to keep the sub feeling unhesitating and cool all day. With the Lanzar 1000w I immediately noticed overheating coming from the center of the amp. I let it cool outside and drove down the street for 5 minutes. I just turned the radio volume up to 25 (usually 32 on Sony) and by the time I got to my destination the Lanzar was hot to the touch. I checked the wiring three times and let it cool down for over 30 minutes. , after that I drove it for about 20 minutes and the sub went off completely and checking the amp found it was so hot I couldn't touch the surface without burning myself. My amp settings are: [Gain 3/4] [LPF 50Hz] [Bass Boost between 2-4 of 12] Bridge. I didn't like the sound quality either. To be fair the old Sony was 1/3 cleaner and had 1/3 more power at 125W RMS than this cheap Lanzar. I do not recommend and I have installed many sound systems professionally. I've heard bad things about Lanzar Audio and just needed a cheap quick fix. Not worth wasting your time with nonsense unless you drive small 6.5" or 6x9" cars.
