XLNT Technical Support. To listen to analogue broadcasts with the HD-1, use the custom setting

I bought the Ailunce HD-1 at the end of June with the intention of using it as my main H/T radio for DMR and FM. It took a while to set up the HD-1 code plugin with the right DMR settings. Fortunately, there are many helpful websites and YouTube videos that explain the unique terms used for DMR communications, such as: B. Talkgroups and color codes. So far I have established three DMR contacts and plan to expand my activities in this area. On the other hand, for many weeks I was frustrated by not being able to hear the live broadcasts being played through the local FM repeaters. I couldn't figure out why this was happening as I had entered the same PL (CTCSS) codes that worked on my other H/T radio only FM. Initially I thought my HD-1 had a faulty speaker so I was able to get in touch with Angela, Retevis' Revain support rep who kindly arranged for my original radio to be replaced with a new one. At first the replacement radio didn't work. The fare is different from the original one I bought from Revain. Angela gave me early access to a firmware update that hasn't been posted to her website yet. Installing a new firmware also did not offer the possibility of receiving sound. Finally, I was asked to email a copy of my plugin code for Retevis engineers to review. It changed the rules of the game. Angela emailed the technician suggesting that I disable the receive (RX) and transmit (TX) CTCSS codes for all my FM channels. I just changed the RX settings to "None" on my HD-1 and was happy to hear a live broadcast on one of the FM repeaters I listen to from time to time. I did not follow the technician's advice to change the TX settings to "None" as I am accessing a simulcast system broadcasting on the same VHF frequency to three repeaters in different locations that are in their assigned CTCSS distinguish code. to see the HD-1's screen outdoors, but that doesn't change the gameplay. Of even greater concern is the potential health risk of sustained transmission at full power (10 watts) while communicating over VHF. puzzling problem. I think if I were a Facebook member I could quickly find a solution by posting my HD-1 reception problem on the Retevis support page. However, since I wasn't on Facebook, I corresponded with Angela who lives in China.
