Rope floats, handle DOES NOT FLOAT. It stays on the surface but slowly sinks. No big deal. But it takes a little longer because the skier/boarder has to swim to the rope and follow it to the hold. Now when it becomes PITA it's when you're in a deep lake and this pin goes to the bottom lol.
