INSTALLATION: Easy to install (requires drilling a 1/2" hole for the faucet). Everything else including the 2-way valve and piping is included. It took a wrench and a drill and it was all done in less than 1 hour. WATER QUALITY: Drinking water is fantastic, tastes clear and clean, a definite improvement over tap water AND filtered water from the fridge. PLACE: Although the filter is significantly larger than cooling systems, it is significantly smaller than some of the more advanced systems of this type on the market. I haven't lost any usable space in my base cabinet. TOWN WATER: Please note that I use city water, not well water. I hate the taste of water and love the added protection from water filtration in my home. BROKEN FRIDGE WATER FILTER PUMP: Purchased when my refrigerator water filter pump broke and will not return to refrigerator filtration systems. The filter in this system is significantly larger than the expensive and short-lived refrigerator filters and performs significantly better (at least in terms of taste). It also has a higher flow rate than a refrigerator filtration system. Easier to fill large containers like a coffee pot due to the flow rate and space. It takes more time to really appreciate the durability and long-term performance of the system, but after 1 week it's a great addition to the kitchen.
