As they say it's USB 2. Lower transfer speed. It will take a little longer, but once I create bootable USB drives, they work fine. My new DVR supports flash drives. They are great for recording shows. The only thing that surprises me is that some read like 14 gigabytes, one reads 15 and a third actually reads around 16. As long as they work for what I need I'm not too worried.
