They must have fixed the issues with parts being difficult to snap into place and the stand not staying on track that other reviewers write about because it only takes an adult a second or two to put things together and lock everything except has On some tracks that use magenta elements, the stand stays on the track. I will say that breaking the pieces open is probably difficult for most 6 and 7 year olds so will probably be quite frustrating for them to try all by themselves. The logic used in this game is very simple. I read the quick start guide and played around with the track pieces for a few minutes to fully understand how the track pieces work and then explained how many points up and how many posts down each track piece went to my 5 year old. After showing her the mechanics of the game for a few minutes, she was able to figure out which piece would be used next and where exactly it went in each puzzle step with just a few minutes of thought. Even if it's not exactly a logical task, I still highly recommend this product because I really like how it makes you think about the layout of the track, that the game shows how the steepness of the descent affects the speed of the slide effects, and so on. It's easy to make my own tracks as long as I put the pieces together and put things where she wants.
