I read the previous reviews and was a bit hesitant to buy this product. We've had it for less than a week now and I've been very impressed with how easy it is to use and clean. Some reviewers have indicated that a certain percentage of waste remains in the tank. Some reviewers said it was leaked in various places. Some reviewers said it was difficult to clean. For us that is not true. It has never leaked during use (place on brown paper to be safe). It was easy to clean (note: sooner rather than later). And after washing it out with running water, there was VERY LITTLE clean water left in the bottom tank, which I found helpful in dissolving the capsule to reduce tank odor. With that all said, here's some unsolicited advice: Add 1/4 teaspoon Rydex Septic to your storage tank to help break down any solids; together with a deodorant capsule. Add 1/4 cup of Fabuloso or other cleaning liquid to the top reservoir to keep you smelling fresh every time you open the lid. If you use the toilet, open the trap before you start so all your bodily waste goes straight into the tank. After closing the tank, add a pump of water to the bowl to maintain both the seal and the clean smell. Don't "flush" a million times to get your waste down. Otherwise your tank will fill up sooner than you would like; You may need to give him mechanical assistance if your stool is sticky. Don't rinse paper or other products, have a plastic bag handy and throw it away when you're done. The paper sticks to the tank and makes cleaning much more difficult.
