Bought this for my 3 year old son who keeps breaking the light I give him in his bed. This light has a soft shell of an animal, so it seems much more difficult for children to damage it. It's also great for our Year Zero as it can crush and bite and hit it and the soft shell can handle it. In fact, he loves hitting him because it changes his color. It's probably one of his toys that makes him smile the most and it helps our two sons sleep in the room without us. One thing I noticed is that the brand's multi-light remotes seem to work on all lights at once. So if you have one light on and the other off and you try to turn off one the other comes on and if you turn that one off the first comes on again etc etc etc. It's not a big deal until they're next to each other but I could see that this can sometimes lead to irritation. On the other hand, it might be nice to be able to use one remote control as a backup for another. Another thing is that they're not super bright, but for a night light they're probably just the right brightness. Don't expect this to be used as a table lamp or room lamp or anything!
