1.5 year update: In the last few months I have noticed that the suction cup has become brownish. I didn't think much about it until a few days ago when I noticed something was dripping from the suction cup onto the dashboard. Apparently the sticky gel on the suction cup had melted because we had so many very hot days (and I didn't drive that much because I used less air conditioning to keep it cooler) and now it was one big sticky mess all over Body. dashboard and windshield. I was able to clean up the mess, but unfortunately it is no longer usable as it originally was. Now I'm looking for a permanent mount. Bought to use while driving for Uber and holding a Samsung S4 tablet and it works great! I had to tweak it a few times to make it more stable with the pad attached, but once I found the sweet spot everything was perfect! I can keep Waze active on my tablet while using the Uber app on my phone, check flight status for flights to the airport, and get passenger information. anything where it's easy to see.
