Mostly good, but why the gap between the handles?

I really like the overall design of this kitchen set. The packaging is excellent, the quality of the cast iron is quite heavy. It's a little rough on the inside compared to the Lodge pans I've been buying for years, but that doesn't really bother me as it's primarily used for baking bread. The ball of dough rests on or in parchment paper so nothing sticks to the pan (although I used the bacon side of the pan to make it smoother). handle adjustment. They have two "loops" on one side of each pan and two handles on the other side. When two items are stacked on top of each other, they fit together snugly, but there is a large gap between the two handles, about 1/4 inch at the ends. Oven at 400F+ and you first pick up the handles and (of course) squeeze them, which opens the lid and bursts of steam out of the pot! designed like that. Plus it's a great addition to my kitchen. I'd be willing to try one of their big pans if anything happened to my other three Lodge pans (like my kids steal them when they get home from college). ) .
