Holds up well. The only surprise was how much it took me to go through most of a gallon of latex paint. The paint was heavily soiled by a rusty paint can. Once the filter stops draining, it will become clogged with dirt, so take it out and replace it. I cut off the end of a 13 inch road cone and put the filter inside. I placed a new 1 gallon can of paint in a 5 gallon plastic bucket to avoid a mess. Then I placed the inverted cone on top of the bucket and used paint stirrers to support it. This method worked great until I poured more than one cup into the filter at a time. With this method, the filter stays where I placed it. I also diluted the paint a bit with water. I needed eight filters per gallon but I'm happy with the result. Before you begin, make sure your paint is well mixed.
