It's nice to find a sturdy WIDE MOUTH bottle. This is great for hiking because you can fill it with ice first and then fill it up with drinking water. This way you have cold water for hiking without having to fill it half full and freeze the bottle the night before. I put this bottle on its side several times and it didn't flow. The top is a bit unnecessarily complex to understand, but works well once you know how to work with it.
