Didn't initially work with my Macbook Air (Early 2014 1.4GHz Intel Core i5). However, when I tried a friend's Macbook Pro (early 2013) the drive was recognized immediately and I was able to transfer the data to the new drive. So keep in mind that this is a hit and your mileage may vary.
