Review on Braun KF6050WH BrewSense Coffee Maker by Kassandra Harris

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Minimal burning of coffee oil.

This is probably the 3rd best cup of coffee I've had. The two best cups of black coffee I've ever had were made in Bunn temperature-controlled machines (big bucks). This is the first non-adjustable machine that brews a cup of coffee with almost no oil burning. The coffee oil burn was minimal, I don't think many people will notice, except for the few of us who love black coffee and can tell when the oil is burning. Overall this is a really good machine, it's compact, easy to use, the carafe doesn't leak and seems to make really good coffee. Despite being 2-4 times cheaper than any other coffee maker I've ever owned, it brews all but one. However, at this price point and simplicity, you can't go wrong. Just an update, now that I've had the small coffee maker for almost 6 months, I can say I'm very happy with my $43 purchase. I've found that chilling a carafe of water overnight gives me a near-perfect cup of coffee. before brewing. The only complaint I really have about the coffeemaker is that the clock is hard to read because it doesn't have a backlight, and the lighting in my kitchen blinds the plastic that covers the clock, making it difficult to read. So forget the clock, forget to turn it on in the morning, don't expect it to ring to let you know it's ready, and remember to leave the lid open when you're done brewing to let out the moisture. All of these features do not work or are not visible or absent. Just enjoy a great cup of coffee from a quality $40 coffee maker. For those of you who want to enjoy a cup of coffee just like at your favorite restaurant, you can shell out around $700 for a fully-equipped Bunn 12950.
