I purchased this product in March for $156. Sorry for the graphic and the long post. I just wanted to warn all hamster cage owners how awful the green "penthouse" upstairs is. It cut my Syrian hamster's back with sharp edges and the sides aren't high enough for her to be comfortable in so she sleeps half in the middle and half on the sides. I've seen scabs on her back twice before but wasn't sure if it was because of that but now I know. I took it out and sealed the hoses and I just feel awful for her, I bought this super expensive cage to give her a better life. But it wasn't great - ladders are hard to get up and down, there are no replacement tubes and the company never responds to my emails, the original wheel was too small so I upgraded it twice - to 9". the silent lure that is in her cage now and the 12 inch silent lure that is too big for her cage so i'm taking her out. The little huts inside are too small for her to build a nest. I didn't know and didn't have the guts to make a trash can out of it or I would have done it. I recommend anyone considering buying this suitcase build their own trash cage and spend the money on toys, treats, and a giant trash can instead.
