I read a review where they said they sent it back to the seller for a refund. Not sure why. That's exactly what you should expect at a very modest price. Now of course I don't know how durable it is or how long it will last, but the one I received looks solidly made. I don't see this as a problem that can last even for several years. But it should definitely take a year. Pulling out items is a little fiddly, but that resolves itself with use. Most wallets have credit card slots. The money clip works well in the easy-to-reach place it is placed. The slim size of the wallet allows you to put it in the front side pocket of your pants. A little longer than I would like, but not by much. This is a great gift for someone who you don't want to gift a more expensive genuine leather wallet to. I won't give it to your new father-in-law because he thinks you're cheap because it's not a real leather wallet. But if you want to piss him off, then yes, this will be a great gift for him.
