Review on Sonder Los Angeles Reversible Teak Wood Cutting Board – Large Size with Juice Groove, 18x14x1.25 inches – Includes Gift Box by Alex Romero

First of all, this is a beautiful piece of wood. It practically glows. It's really a pleasure to use. I researched different types of wooden cutting boards and different brands and settled on teak as it is best water resistant and hard enough not to dull good knives prematurely. The board is beautifully finished - it's thick, heavy, but well balanced and correct (no bumps or wobbles). It includes clear instructions on how to wash the entire board (not just one side) quickly and evenly, and dry thoroughly to best preserve it, and so far so good. It's heavy and a bit heavy to move around the kitchen sink, but I prefer the weight to keep the board stable and steady while chopping. I've had the board not long ago so can't speak to the need for oil or how well it holds up over time. I'll update my review when I can talk about it.
