Product: These strips are great, they are. These LEDs can be used for general lighting or just accent/mood lighting. The sealing is reliable. There are many quality levels of these lamps. Torchstar offers you better quality. I didn't see 150 LED strips as I wanted them to be as bright as possible so I only ordered 300 LED strips. The only downside is that you can't do it end-to-end and each one needs its own power supply. Even with a more powerful power supply, splicing the strips end-to-end is not recommended, and more powerful power supplies are much more expensive. I ordered this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000VE7GQQ/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00 adapter for each of my strips. I'll admit I spliced the strips together for a short time because I needed them for an event, but every company I've spoken to that includes 3 factories making these strips in China says this is the lifespan the distance between them may affect / shorten the ribbons and/or power supply and is not recommended. On this occasion these strips were in the rain and the impregnation held up well. I had the power supply and controller in an aws protected area. I would like the strips to come with no adhesive as it can be annoying if you don't install them permanently. I've tried cutting them for use in specific areas and haven't had many soldering issues which can be annoying and I recommend solderless terminals and then solder all connections to them like 4 pin connections. There are many different controllers you can buy for these strips, for example I have one that is divided into 5 ports. The maximum strip length that can be connected to a controller is 5m, so in my case I have 5 strips of 1 meter on the ceiling. If you don't want them to ruin the paint with glue, they make small pieces of silicone that are used to hold them together. One thing to note when I cut the strips, for some reason the red and green were partially swapped (don't ask me how but it happened), it was easy to fix by just swapping the wires to get the to hold the controller accurately. To be clear, the strips were in perfect condition before I cut them into various lengths. Torchstar: I ordered one of these strips from Torchstar to test and I love it. I then decided I wanted to use these strips to light up my apartment and I needed 6 strips to cover all the areas I wanted. I then contacted Torchstar and other companies including trying to order direct from China. Reviews show quality issues with many other sellers. Studies have shown that shipping costs from China will be the same. Torchstar also proved to be the most helpful when it came to technical questions. I ordered a dreamy strip from them but didn't find the effects worth it for my use so I wanted to return it and more of this model and the return process was quick and easy. When ordering other accessories from Torchstar I had a defective item and they quickly replaced it. I would recommend both these strips and Torchstar to anyone looking for this type or product.
