Works well so far. I bought it mainly for business trips where I use many different types of rental cars, so being able to work in both horizontal and vertical vents is a big plus. So far I've only been able to test it on my machine, but it fits great and is very stable. The device seems pretty solid, but we'll see how it holds up to the rigors of travel. It would be nice if it also included a stand mount, but they are not universal and will vary by Garmin model. I found one of these elsewhere for my Nuvi and it fits this mount perfectly. DEC 2015 UPDATE: After having this for several months, I've tried it on about a dozen car models with different types of air vents. I haven't found a single vent that doesn't work, but sometimes it takes patience and creativity to get a vent and/or mount in positions that work together. The only caveat I've encountered is that the blades can be quite deep on some of the vents. If the depth is more than half an inch, it may be difficult to attach/detach the hook that holds the mount in place. People I've traveled with have complimented the mount on numerous occasions, saying they're impressed with its stability and how firmly the GPS stays in place.
