This kit contains many circuit boards/sensors/motors etc to experiment with. The ESP32-WROVER is compatible with the Arduino IDE, and Freenove includes several example sketches (available on GitHub or their website) in their kit. If you were to buy individual parts you would be paying a lot more than the kit is worth and the fact that they include a 385 page manual with 34 sample projects accompanying all the components makes this kit very easy to get started. . Most (if not all) components are compatible with both the Raspberry Pi's GPIO and the Arduino. In addition, the technical support is very easy to deal with. In another kit I bought (to start with the Raspberry Pi) one of the components was damaged. It still worked, but the LCD had bleeds and a scratch on the display. I emailed their support team, sent a picture and description of the situation, and they emailed me back the next morning so they could work on a replacement part. I would definitely recommend Freenove and this kit to anyone starting out or looking to add a wide range of components to their existing projects/collections.
