2 x 4 cut in half for legs, 1-1/2" x 1-3/4", size 1-1/2" fits perfect between the hinges where needed to fold in. 3 screws hold it to the mounting surface 3 more hold it to the leg but when folded they are not that audible when locked but they lock easily .When they are extended, there is some movement in the legs, but the latch does not allow them to fold. I am not afraid in normal operating conditions, they will not fail.To achieve minimal swing of the leg, it is advisable to mark the holes for drilling on the leg, but balance about 1-3mm down towards the base of the leg and drill this way, it will press firmly after inserting the end of the table.
