The reason I bought ribbon floss is because I have very narrow teeth and regular floss breaks before it gets between my teeth. I use a dental floss holder. This floss has so much rebound that it stretches before it gets between your teeth. But the other way doesn't work. I've found that this only works by pulling the thread as tight as a string. This, of course, does not allow her to "hug" the tooth and make good contact with the surface. You'll probably be better off using your hands than using the dental floss holder since you can vary the tension between placing it between your teeth and actually brushing the tooth surface. As I understand it, four stars isn't ideal for my use case, but might be good enough for others.
