Review on 🧀 Prodyne Thick Beechwood Cheese Slicer: Premium Quality, 9 ½" x 6" x ⅞ by Durioki Cordaro

I started buying large 2lb cheese sticks from Sam and wanted something other than hand cut as I can't cut straight to save my life. I've used it a few times and these are my impressions so far: 1. Firstly, the tree is REALLY beautiful and it would be nice if it wasn't used during a party/gathering.2. I'm very glad I watched the manufacturer's video on how to gently pull the lever out to align the blade with the cutting groove. In fact, I regularly adjust my hand so the blade doesn't hit the tree. It's ok, just be careful not to break the blade.3. I've used this to cut sharp cheddar and Colby/Jack and the slicer worked well on both occasions. I'm amazed at how paper thin cheddar I can get! I couldn't have done it with a manual slicer! Can't wait to try it on softer cheeses too.4. The small rubber feet on the underside prevent the food slicer from slipping. Not only is this critical to safety, it also allows for straight and even cuts.5. Cleaning a food slicer is usually easy. I just wipe the blade and cutting board thoroughly with a sponge. The only thing I don't like is trying to clean the cutting groove. Even the cotton swab was too big, so I'm still experimenting with the best way to clean it.6. To prevent the blade from popping out and opening when stored in a cupboard I simply put a large rubber band around the entire handle/cutting board. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and hope this food slicer will last for many years to come. Come. As a side note, I got this food slicer from Revain stock for half the normal price and it has a bit of wear on the top. Thought I'd mention it as I almost walked past this cutter!
