I was looking for a case for my Garmin Nuvi 1390LMT and looked at smaller cases but found them to be of subpar quality and didn't offer adequate protection. Maybe that's why some suitcases are sold so cheaply! And I have to wonder how much protection these open leather cases actually offer. Maybe they can only protect the screen from scratches, but what about scratches on the top of the frame, dust and falls? With these smaller soft cases and leather cases, I could see how a fall would easily break the GPS. With this Lowepro case I feel like my GPS is more secure and can survive a fall without breaking. The Lowepro case is hard but a bit soft. It won't break if dropped like a cheap plastic case. What's happening? I didn't know until I opened the case that it comes with a nice MICROFIBER CLOTH so you always have a clean GPS. A great idea! It also has a nice SOFT POCKET for GPS and several compartments for accessories. This case offers more protection than other cases, microfiber fabric, padded pocket and multiple compartments yet can be easily carried around but not in a shirt or pants pocket. I've heard some people complain that it's not big enough to carry a crowbar. This is good because the mount is too big and the case needs to be too big. I don't need a suitcase the size of a textbook. And the mount should not be taken off and removed every day, as this will simply wear out the suction cup. And if you're really afraid of theft and think a suction cup mount on your dash or window is an invitation, consider a portable friction mount. I would advise people to buy this gps case.
