I love these cases, they do what I need them for. For me it wasn't about protecting the controllers from damage, it was about having the battery cover open when inserting VR games. They're tricky to put on at first as the strap has to be threaded through a small hole at the bottom, but once you're done with them you won't have to do it again. When I change the battery, I just do it with the strap still hanging out of the case, which is a little tricky but worth it so you don't have to rethread the strap every time you change batteries. My only minor complaint is that the lid strap feels a bit odd at the top, but you quickly get used to it and forget that the top hand is pressing on it.
