I was hoping to use it as a scope as it had high magnification and various tips that I thought might work, but it turned out the magnification wasn't for my needs was strong enough. I've tried using it elsewhere and it's fantastic for when you want to examine your ears to check for earwax, nose for stuffiness, etc. The device worked flawlessly without drivers on my Macbook with Photo Booth and it was easy to figure out how to adjust the brightness. focus and zoom. Although it didn't work for what I originally bought it for, I keep it in my tool box because I'm sure it will come in handy around the house.
