I purchased these straps for outdoor use and liked the stainless steel hook, but while advertised as heavy duty, I have serious doubts about the strength or durability of this product for more than tying together an extension cord or the like. I would not trust him with any items that might carry weight or be under load, just my opinion. I have some similar standard belts that are .050 inch. thick, while these included straps are no thicker than .015", which is half the thickness of a credit card, I know nylon is strong, but there are limits, judge for yourself.
