We had to drill through the tiles which made installation difficult but other than that it was easy. It also doesn't have all the cables ready so you'll have to spend 5 or 10 minutes trying to figure it out, but the instructions make it very easy. The lamp is made of metal and looks good. But I gave it 4 stars because the lamp is so heavy and the neck so thin it puts a lot of pressure on the base that holds it. Another downside is that the dimmer is on the base of the lamp, so you can only adjust it if you hang the lamp low enough to reach it. PLUS the dimmer is also an on/off switch! So if you hang this lamp too high, you'll have no luck turning it on and off, let alone unplugging it. Ours is hard to get to because it's behind our washer and dryer so I ended up finding an outlet that I can turn on and off with my phone so it wasn't a problem for us in the end (WiFi smart plug socket). ). I like that the cable is transparent which makes it easy to hide. We're going to attach ours to the corner of the closet.
