I paid 40 for gel varnish every 3 weeks, so it was not difficult to buy it. I used it for the first time on Tuesday and today is Friday and my polish still looks new. I used a matte top coat and was afraid that the matte finish would start to shine like other matte (non-gel) nail polishes I've used, but that wasn't a problem. It will take me several times to perfect my technique but for the first time I am very happy with the results. Just in case anyone else has this issue, the base coat WILL be tacky once cured. I thought my light wouldn't work but turns out it stays sticky to hold the other layers. The instructions don't mention this.
