I was happy to finally get a compact lighted mirror but was disappointed. I couldn't open it and had to ask my daughter for help as she has short nails. Once it was open I found that the light switch was a very small black toggle switch on the outside on the back of the mirror. It is also battery operated and does not charge via USB. Got it back and am much happier with another mirror that opens and closes with a magnet. You turn the light on and off by tapping the mirror and charge via USB.
